How Old Is Selene In Underworld

Hey there, curious cat! You've been wondering, haven't you? How old is Selene, the badass vampire-werewolf hybrid from the Underworld series? Well, buckle up, 'cause we're diving into a world of blood, fangs, and ancient history. Let's get started!

Older Than Your Grandma's Ancestors

Alright, so Selene, played by the stunning Kate Beckinsale, is no spring chicken. In fact, she's older than most countries. Born in 709 AD, she's seen more history than your average history buff. We're talking Dark Ages, Renaissance, French Revolution - you name it, she's been there. Talk about a long life!

But wait, you might be thinking, "How is that possible? She looks like she's in her 30s!" Well, my friend, that's the magic of being a vampire. They age super slow, like, really really slow. It's like they're stuck in a time warp. Isn't that just the coolest?

From Warrior Princess to Vampire Queen

Selene's life hasn't always been about fighting werewolves and looking fabulous (though she does that exceptionally well). She started out as a Lycan hunter, a warrior princess in her own right. But things got complicated, as they often do in the world of the supernatural.

She fell in love with a werewolf (gasp!), Michael Corvin. And no, it's not a case of opposites attract - they're both ancient and powerful, so it's more like 'kindred spirits' attract. Anyway, they ended up creating a new breed of super vampire-werewolf hybrid, and Selene became the first of her kind. Talk about a game-changer!

So, How Old Is She Now?

Now, you might be wondering, "How old is Selene in the most recent Underworld movie?" Well, as of the fifth installment, "Underworld: Blood Wars," Selene is around 1,225 years old. Can you even imagine? She's practically a walking, talking history book!

But here's the thing, time doesn't really matter to Selene. She's been through so much, lost so many loved ones, that she's more focused on the present and the future. She's a survivor, a fighter, and a symbol of hope for her kind. And that, my friend, is what makes her truly extraordinary.

Fun Facts: Selene's Ageless Awesomeness

Did you know that Kate Beckinsale was 38 when she first played Selene in "Underworld" (2003)? And yet, she still looks like she's in her 30s in the 2017 movie "Underworld: Blood Wars"? That's the power of vampire aging for you!

Selene's iconic look - the leather catsuit, the long blonde hair, the badass attitude - has become a symbol of the Underworld series. It's so iconic, in fact, that Kate Beckinsale has joked about wearing it to bed. Now that's dedication!

Despite her ancient age, Selene is still learning and growing. In the Underworld series, she discovers new things about her past, her powers, and her place in the world. It's like she's on a never-ending journey of self-discovery. How cool is that?

Why Selene's Agelessness Is Just Plain Cool

So, why is Selene's age just so darn fascinating? Well, for one, it's a reminder that age is just a number. Selene might look like she's in her 30s, but she's got the wisdom and experience of someone who's lived for over a thousand years. Talk about a mind-blowing perspective!

It's also a testament to the power of storytelling. The Underworld series has been around for nearly two decades, and Selene's character has evolved and grown over that time. She's a symbol of strength, resilience, and adaptability. And that, my friend, is something worth celebrating.

Plus, let's be real, it's just plain cool to imagine what it would be like to live for centuries. To see empires rise and fall, to witness the birth and death of stars, to experience love and loss on a scale that's almost unimaginable. It's like the ultimate adventure, isn't it?

So, there you have it - the lowdown on Selene's age in the Underworld series. Isn't she just the coolest? Now, go forth and impress your friends with your newfound knowledge. You're welcome!
