How To Watch Only Murders In The Building Without Hulu

So, you've heard all the buzz about Only Murders in the Building, the hilarious, whodunit comedy-mystery that's got everyone talking. But you're not a Hulu subscriber, and that's okay! We've got you covered with a few sneaky ways to join the party without signing up.

Meet Your New Streaming Friends

First things first, let's introduce you to your new streaming buddies: Disney+ and HBO Max. Both platforms offer free trials, and guess what? Only Murders in the Building is available on both!

Disney+

That's right, Disney's not just for Mickey and friends anymore. They've got a whole lineup of adult content, including WandaVision, The Mandalorian, and yes, Only Murders in the Building. Sign up for their 7-day free trial, and you'll be solving crimes with Arconia's finest in no time.

HBO Max

Home to Game of Thrones, Friends, and The Big Bang Theory, HBO Max is no stranger to popular content. They offer a 7-day free trial as well, and with Only Murders in the Building on their roster, you can binge-watch to your heart's content.

Timing is Everything

Now, let's talk strategy. To make the most of your free trials, you'll want to time your sign-ups just right. Since both trials last 7 days, you could potentially sign up for one, watch the first few episodes, then sign up for the other to finish the season. Just make sure to cancel your subscription before the trial ends to avoid any charges!

Bonus: A Little Something Extra

If you're feeling fancy, you could also consider Amazon Prime Video. They don't have Only Murders in the Building in their regular lineup, but they do offer a channel add-on called HBO for $14.99/month. It's a bit pricier than the other options, but it does come with a 7-day free trial. Plus, you'll get access to HBO's entire library, including Euphoria, Lovecraft Country, and The Nevers.

Now, Let's Talk About the Show

Created by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Dan Fogelman, Only Murders in the Building is a comedic take on true-crime documentaries. It follows three true-crime podcast enthusiasts - played by Martin, Short, and Selena Gomez - who find themselves solving an actual murder in their own apartment building, the Arconia.

The show is a love letter to true-crime podcasts, with each episode structured like an episode of a podcast. It's filled with clever humor, engaging mysteries, and an amazing ensemble cast that includes Aaron Dominguez, Amy Ryan, and Nathan Lane. It's no wonder it's been renewed for a second season!

Fun Facts and Cultural References

Did you know that the Arconia is based on a real-life apartment building in New York City? The Dakota, where John Lennon was famously shot, served as inspiration for the show's iconic setting. And if you're a fan of true-crime podcasts, you'll love the show's many references to real-life cases and podcasts, like My Favorite Murder and The Vanished.

But perhaps the most delightful surprise is the show's use of Broadway references. With Martin and Short's backgrounds in theater, it's no surprise that the show is filled with nods to the Great White Way. Keep an eye out for Easter eggs like the Company poster in Oliver's apartment and the Merrily We Roll Along reference in the season finale.

Reflecting on the Everyday

So, there you have it. With a little creativity and some strategic timing, you can enjoy Only Murders in the Building without a Hulu subscription. But beyond the streaming hacks and comedic mysteries, the show offers a reflection on the everyday. It's a reminder that even in the most ordinary of places - like an apartment building in New York City - there are always stories waiting to be told.

And isn't that what makes life so fascinating? The mundane can always surprise us, and the extraordinary can be found in the most unexpected of places. So, go on, give Only Murders in the Building a watch. You never know what mysteries you might uncover - in the show or in your own life.
