Mccammon-ammons-click Funeral Home Maryville Tn
So, I was cruising through Maryville, Tennessee, the other day, and I stumbled upon this place that had me doing a double-take. I mean, I've seen some interesting businesses in my time, but McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home? Now that's a mouthful, and a half!
I mean, seriously, who comes up with a name like that? I can just imagine the brainstorming session: "Okay, we've got McCammon, Ammons, and Click. How do we make this sound... fun?"
Let's Talk Naming Rights
I've got a few suggestions for them. How about 'McAmmons & Click: We're Here When You're Not', or maybe 'McCammon-Ammons-Click: Because Life's a Party, Until It's Not'. I could go on, but I'm afraid I might start crying laughing, and then I'd have to call them.

Surprising Fact: They've Been Around Since 1845
That's right, folks. While you were busy figuring out how to use a VCR, these guys were already planning your great-great-grandma's send-off. Talk about longevity. They've seen more generations come and go than a high school yearbook.
I mean, think about it. They've been around so long, they've probably had to change their sign more times than a chameleon changes its color. "McCammon & Ammons", "Ammons & Click", "McCammon-Ammons-Click"... It's like watching a really long, really depressing game of musical chairs.

But Seriously, Folks...
Despite the laughs, these guys are actually pretty awesome. I mean, they've been serving Maryville for over 175 years. That's like, what, 50 generations of funerals? They've seen it all, from horse-drawn carriages to hearses with heated seats. (I'm not even kidding, look it up.)
They've got this one guy, Bill Click, who's been there for over 50 years. That's like, what, a third of the time they've been open? I'm pretty sure he's got a time-share in the break room at this point.

Another Surprising Fact: They're Like the Maytag Repairman of Death
You know, the guy from the old commercials who was always sitting around waiting for something to break? Well, these guys are the opposite. They're always busy, but no one wants to see them. I mean, think about it. You never call them because you want to. It's always because you have to. Talk about a tough gig.
But hey, someone's gotta do it, right? And these guys, they do it with dignity, respect, and (if you'll forgive the pun) a certain death of humor. I mean, have you seen their website? It's like the world's most depressing game of 'Where's Waldo'. (Again, not kidding.)
So, Here's to You, McCammon-Ammons-Click
Thanks for the laughs, the history lesson, and the reminder that life's a party. Until it's not. Keep on keepin' on, you crazy, wonderful, slightly morbid bunch. And if you ever need a new name, you know where to find me.
