How Old Is Taylor From The Summer I Turned Pretty

Hey there, coffee companion! Let's dish out some deets on Taylor from The Summer I Turned Pretty, shall we? You know, that charming series that's got us all swooning and reminiscing about those oh-so-sweet summer days.

First things first, who's Taylor, you ask? Well, grab your latte and let me spill the beans. Taylor is the dreamy, guitar-strumming, heartthrob of a character who's got us all in a flutter. He's one of the main guys in the series, alongside his brother Stephen and their friend Jeremiah. But enough about the others, we're here for Taylor, right?

Now, let's get down to business. How old is this Taylor fella?

Alright, so here's the thing. The series is based on Jenny Han's books, and in the books, Taylor is 16. But, as you probably know, when it comes to adaptations, things can get a little... flexible. So, when the series hit Prime Video, Taylor was played by Gavin Casalegno, who was, wait for it, 19 at the time of filming. Mind. Blown.

I know, I know, it's a bit of an age gap. But hey, it's not like we're complaining about having a 19-year-old playing a 16-year-old, right? I mean, who are we to judge? Let's just enjoy the view and the sweet, sweet music, shall we?

But wait, there's more!

Now, you might be wondering, "Why the age difference, you ask?" Well, friend, it seems like the showrunners wanted to cast actors who could handle the emotional depth and complexity of the characters. And let's face it, Gavin totally nailed it. Plus, it's not like we're watching a bunch of 16-year-olds playing 12-year-olds, you know? (Looking at you, Stranger Things.)

So there you have it, the scoop on Taylor's age. Now, who's ready to dive back into the summer of '09 and swoon over Taylor's dreamy tunes and heartfelt moments? I know I am. Cheers!
