How Old Was Korra In Season 1

So, you're wondering, "How old was Korra in Season 1 of Avatar: The Legend of Korra?" Let's dive in, shall we?

Korra's Birthdate: A Mystery No More

First things first, we need to establish Korra's birthdate. It's 100 AG, right? Well, that's what the showrunners have confirmed. So, we're all on the same page here.

Season 1: The Year of the Dragon

Now, Season 1 is set in the Year of the Dragon, which is 110 AG. Simple math, right?

Wait, wait, wait. Before you grab your calculator, let me explain. Korra's not 10 years old in Season 1. She's a bit older than that.

Korra's Age: A Bit of a Debate

You might have heard different ages thrown around. Some say she's 17, others 21. Let's clear this up.

The Case for 17

Alright, so some folks argue that Korra is 17 in Season 1. They point to her physical appearance and the fact that she's still in the Avatar's training phase.

But hold on a sec. If Korra was 17, that would make Aang, her predecessor, around 117 when he became the Avatar. That's a bit... old, don't you think?

The Case for 21

Now, let's consider the other side. If Korra is 21 in Season 1, that makes Aang around 73 when he became the Avatar. That's more reasonable, right?

Plus, Korra's already mastered three elements and is working on the fourth. That's some serious Avatar business right there.

So, Who's Right?

Well, my friend, it seems the consensus is leaning towards Korra being 21 in Season 1. It fits with her character development and the timeline of the Avatar world.

But hey, who knows? Maybe the showrunners will drop another hint in a future episode. Until then, let's enjoy the debate!

Bonus: Korra's Age in Other Seasons

Just for kicks, let's quickly run through Korra's age in the other seasons:

• Season 2: 22 (Year of the Snake, 111 AG)
• Season 3: 23 (Year of the Horse, 112 AG)
• Season 4: 24 (Year of the Monkey, 113 AG)

And there you have it! Korra's age, season by season. Now, who's ready for another cup of coffee and a re-watch?
