Doing the Math: Sam Wilson's MCU Timeline
Sam Wilson's MCU age is a bit of a puzzle, with time jumps and a lack of clear birthdates. But let's give it a shot!
In "The Winter Soldier," Sam is introduced as a veteran who's been out of the military for some time. He's around the same age as Steve Rogers, who's physically in his 30s but mentally in his 90s due to being frozen in ice. So, let's estimate Sam to be around 35-40 at this point.
Then comes "Civil War" (2016), where Sam becomes Captain America's new partner. No significant age advancement here, so let's keep him around 35-40.
Now, things get interesting with "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018) and "Endgame" (2019). The snap and the five-year time jump age Sam like fine wine. In "Endgame," he's clearly older, with some gray in his beard. Let's bump him up to around 45-50.
Finally, in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" (2021), Sam is still around the same age, with no further time jumps. So, he's likely in his mid to late 40s.
Fun Fact: Sam Wilson's Age in "Loki"
In a fun Easter egg, "Loki" (2021) shows us a future where Sam Wilson is the All-Father of Asgard. In this timeline, he's around 100 years old. Talk about aging like a fine superhero!
