How Old Is Morgan In Season 1 Criminal Minds

So, you're here 'cause you're curious about Morgan's age in the first season of Criminal Minds, right? I mean, who doesn't love a good age guessing game, am I right?

Let's dive in!

First things first, Morgan, or Derek Morgan to his mom, is played by the ever-dashing Shemar Moore. Now, Shemar was born on April 20, 1970, which makes him a Taurus, but that's a story for another time.

Criminal Minds Season 1 premiered in 2005. Now, let's do some math. If Shemar was 35 when the show started, that would make Morgan, well, 35 too. But wait, let me put on my detective hat for a sec.

Age in the show vs. real life

We all know TV shows can be a bit... flexible with time. So, let's consider Morgan's character arc. In Season 1, he's introduced as a seasoned BAU agent, but not the most senior. He's got some experience, but he's not ancient, you know?

Now, let's compare him to other agents. Hotch, the team leader, is supposed to be older. He's got that 'been there, done that' vibe. And Grayson, the tech guy, is younger, fresh out of Quantico.

So, if we're going by the show's timeline, Morgan is probably in his mid to late 30s. But remember, this is all just a guess. The show doesn't give us a exact birthdate, and that's half the fun, right?

But wait, there's more!

Here's a fun fact to chew on. In real life, Shemar Moore is a few years older than Mandy Patinkin, who plays Hotch. I know, right? Mind. Blown.

So, next time you're watching Criminal Minds, keep this in mind. Morgan's probably in his 30s, give or take a few years. And hey, who cares about age when you're catching bad guys and looking this good doing it?
