007 Movies In Order With Daniel Craig

007 Movies In Order With Daniel Craig

Shaken, Not Stirred: A Craig-ful of 007 Movies

So, there I was, scrolling through Netflix the other night, when I stumbled upon Casino Royale. I thought to myself, "Hey, I've seen that one, but when did Daniel Craig become Bond?" And that, my friends, is how this little journey through the Craig-verse began.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But James, I've seen all the Bond movies!" Well, first of all, calm down, we're not here to judge. Secondly, let's see if you've seen them in the right order. Because, you know, spoilers.

Daniel Craig's First Shake

Alright, let's kick things off with Casino Royale (2006). This is where we meet a younger, grittier Bond. He's not the smooth-talking, martini-sipping gentleman we're used to. No, this Bond is more of a 'I'll drink my martini however I damn well please' kind of guy. And you know what? It works.

This film is a reboot, so it doesn't follow on from the previous Bonds. It's a origin story, showing us how Bond gets his license to kill. It's full of action, drama, and a bit of romance with Eva Green's Vesper Lynd. Oh, and it's the one where Bond plays poker, not baccarat. So, if you're a purist, look away now.

Quantum of Solace

Next up, we've got Quantum of Solace (2008). Now, this one's a bit of a Marmite film. You either love it or you hate it. Personally, I think it's a bit like a Bond movie hangover. You know, the morning after a great night out, when you're not quite sure what happened, but you know it was epic.

This film picks up right where Casino Royale left off, which is a first for Bond movies. It's all about revenge and the mysterious Quantum organization. It's not the strongest plot, but it's got some great action sequences and a pretty cool Aston Martin.

Skyfall

Now we're talking! Skyfall (2012) is often hailed as one of the best Bond movies ever. And for good reason. It's got a fantastic script, stunning visuals, and a brilliant performance from Judi Dench as M.

We get to see Bond's past catch up with him in a big way, and there's a real sense of history in this film. Plus, it's got Adele's amazing theme song. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. And if you have, you probably want to watch it again right now, don't you?

Spectre

So, Spectre (2015) came along, and everyone was like, "Ooh, it's the big bad organization from the old Bond movies! How exciting!" And then they watched it and were like, "Huh. Okay."

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad film. It's just... fine. It's got some great moments, like the opening sequence in Mexico City, and some not-so-great moments, like the whole 'Bond is related to the head of Spectre' plot twist. But hey, even Bond movies can't be winners every time.

No Time to Die

And finally, we have No Time to Die (2021), Daniel Craig's swansong as Bond. This one's a bit of a beast, clocking in at over two and a half hours. But don't worry, it's not all talking. There's plenty of action, including a car chase that'll make you question your life choices.

This film ties up a lot of loose ends from the previous Craig movies, and it's got a great cast, including Léa Seydoux returning as Madeleine Swann. It's a fitting end to Craig's run as Bond, even if it does make us a bit sad to see him go.

And there you have it, folks! The Daniel Craig Bond movies in order. So, if you're planning a Bond marathon, you know what to do. Just remember to pace yourself with the martinis. Nobody wants a 'Bond hangover'.
